The inner part of the coin depicts the Burgos Cathedral. On the right side of the coin, there is the inscription 2012 and under of it there is the mint mark of Spain mint. On the left side of the coin there is the inscription ESPAÑA. The twelve stars of the European Union surround the design on the outer ring of the coin.
