2011 Greece 2 euro commemorative coin:
Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens.

The centre of the coin shows the symbol of the Games, a radiant sun, the "source of life that underlines the excellence and power of the athlete that takes part in the Games".
"Excellence" is depicted in the olive branch, and "power" in the spiral form in the centre of the sun.
Two inscriptions surround the centre on the right half, XIII Special Olympics W.S.G. Athens 2011 and ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ, with the mint mark in between.

The twelve stars of the European Union surround the design on the outer ring of the coin.
