In the centre of the coin the effigy of Giovanni Pascoli is depicted. Under his effigy there is the inscription G. PASCOLI.
On the right part of the coin there is the yearmark (2012) and under of it the Italian monogramm (RI).
On the left part of the coin the year when Pascoli died (1912) and under of it there is the mint mark and the designer's mark M.C.C.
